How to Prepare for the Trek
Although the Moharre Danda Trek is less demanding than other high-altitude treks, it's still important to prepare properly to make the most of your adventure.
Fitness: Aim for moderate fitness levels with a focus on endurance. Regular hiking or walking on uneven terrain will be helpful.
Packing: Ensure you pack light yet effectively. Essential items include a good pair of trekking boots, warm layers for colder mornings/evenings, and a rain jacket. Be sure to pack personal essentials such as sunscreen, sunglasses, snacks, and a power bank.
Acclimatization: While the maximum elevation on this trek is not too high, it's still important to trek at a comfortable pace to avoid any discomfort related to altitude. Make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed.
Altitude Sickness – Should You Worry
This trek gradually ascends to a maximum altitude of 3,300m (10,826ft) at Mohare Danda, which is below the high-altitude sickness threshold (3,500m+).
Risk level is low, but mild symptoms like headaches or shortness of breath can occur.
Preventive measure is to stay hydrated, maintain a slow pace, and allow your body time to adjust.
No need for acclimatization days unlike Everest Base Camp or Annapurna Circuit, this trek does not require additional acclimatization days.
Good thing, since this trek stays below 3,500m, severe altitude sickness (HACE/HAPE) is extremely rare.

Trek Distance: The total trek distance is around 35 to 45 kilometers.
Duration: The trek takes about 5 to 7 days, depending on your pace and stops for acclimatization or exploration.
Daily Walking Hours: Expect about 5 to 6 hours of walking each day, with some slightly longer days depending on your chosen route.
